Process Flow

Crushing and Grinding:
-
Raw scheelite ore is crushed using jaw crushers and cone crushers to reduce the particle size to ≤ 20mm.

The crushed ore is then ground in ball mills or rod mills to achieve a fine powder with a particle size of 0.074-2mm.

Flotation:

The finely ground ore is processed through flotation cells. Collectors and froth stabilizers are added to the slurry to enhance the separation of scheelite particles from gangue materials.

The flotation process can be divided into roughing, cleaning, and scavenging stages to maximize recovery.

Dewatering and Concentration:

Separation of scheelite from calcite and fluorite |
Commonly used concentrated slurry and high-temperature method, first concentrate the slurry to a concentration of 60-70%, then add water glass, heat the slurry to 80 ºC, stir for 30-60 minutes, dilute with clean water, and float white tungsten at room temperature. The products in the tank are fluorite and calcite. |
Separation of scheelite and barite |
Due to the similar inhibitory effects of water glass on scheelite and barite, it is difficult to separate them with water glass alone. Therefore, alkyl sulfates need to be used as collectors to repeatedly select barite under pH=1.5-3.0 conditions, and scheelite can be obtained in the tank. |
Separation of scheelite and sulfide ore |
Before flotation of scheelite, yellow medicine was used to capture sulfide minerals. When flotation of scheelite, a small amount of oxide and sodium sulfide were added to suppress the small amount of sulfide that was not floated. |
Separation of scheelite and quartz silicate |
Using oleic acid as a collector and water glass as an inhibitor can suppress quartz and silicate gangue and float scheelite.

Flotation beneficiation is a sorting method based on different physical and chemical properties of the mineral particles. Flotation is widely used in fine-grained disseminated metallic minerals, nonmetallic minerals, chemicals and other mineral sorting.
Main process of flotation production line:
1. Ore crushing
2. The crushed material was sent to ball mill for grinding.
3. Classified . Granule with unsuitable size will be sent back to the ball mill , while suitable ones will be sent to the flotation system.
4. Some medicament agent will be added to separate target material from others.
5. After going through the flotation system with coarse separating, sweeping separating, fine separating, they will be concentrated and filter pressed, and then get the final products
6.The whole process is finished.
