The main beneficiation process for chromium ore is the gravity separation method, which uses equipment such as shaking tables, spiral separators, centrifugal beneficiation machines, and spiral chutes. Sometimes, weak magnetic separation or strong magnetic separation is used to further improve the grade of chromium concentrate and the chromium iron ratio. In addition, some mines also use methods such as flotation and flocculation flotation.
The selection of chromium ore beneficiation technology is closely related to the physical and chemical properties of chromium ore. Due to the weak magnetism of chromite, with the continuous advancement of high-strength magnetic separation technology, the process of using high-strength magnetic separation to purify chromite has become very mature. The commonly used main beneficiation process for re selection is: chromium ore fines that have been ground to a reasonable fineness are cleaned and classified by a spiral classifier, taking advantage of the different specific gravity of solid particles and the different sedimentation rates in the liquid. Then use a jigs and shaking table to wash and select the materials, and transport them to a spiral chute for sorting fine-grained mineral powder. |
Flotation/Magnetic Separation |
After screening, it is sent to a flotation machine or magnetic separator, and the concentrate entering flotation is dehydrated. |

The dehydrated concentrate is further sent to a dryer for drying to obtain usable dry concentrate, or subjected to secondary grinding for further mineral extraction.
