Gold Merrill Crowe Process
Gold cyanidation-zinc powder replacement gold extracting process:
The Gold Merrill Crowe system is used to recover gold and silver from gold cyanide leaching solution. Applicable to Ag: Au grade is higher than 6:1. If the gold grade is higher than silver, CIL or CIP method should be used instead. It is equipped with precious liquid pump, filter press, deoxidation tower, jet vacuum pump group, spiral zinc powder feeder, automatic zinc powder mixing device, condensate pump, and replacement filter press.
The gold cyanidation-zinc powder replacement gold extraction process mainly includes crushing, grinding, chemical dosing& aeration, stirring leaching, backwashing, zinc powder replacement, gold mud smelting, tailings filter pressing, slag treatment, etc.
1. Stirring leaching-gold leaching is mainly carried out in the leaching tank. Under the action of the impeller and compressed air, the slurry containing cyanide is violently stirred. This is good for the leaching effect. Generally, the leaching tank adopts multi-stage series connection.
2. Backwashing-this is a process widely used in cyanidation plants. Generally, multiple single-layer or multi-layer thickeners are used. Backwashing uses the supernatant of the next thickener to dilute the slurry of the previous thickener, so that the gold grade in the liquid gradually decreases until it reaches the standard. Backwashing is the process of slurry dilution and concentration. Some cyanidation plants use filter pressing before washing, and then add washing water to the filter cake for slurry adjustment and washing. Usually, the supernatant of the first thickener is sent to the zinc powder replacement system as precious liquid.
3. Zinc powder replacement - Add metal reducing agent to the cyanide precious liquid, and gold and silver will be precipitated into gold mud through chemical reaction. Usually it includes deoxygenation of precious liquid, addition of zinc powder and lead acetate, and filter pressing to obtain gold mud.
