Magnesite Flotation Process Plant

 
Introduction
The Magnesite Flotation Process Plant is a specialized facility designed for the efficient extraction and concentration of magnesite (magnesium carbonate) from raw ores. This plant utilizes advanced flotation technology to separate magnesite from other minerals, ensuring high purity and recovery rates.

Process Flow
  1. Crushing and Grinding:
    • Raw ore (less than 200mm) is crushed to a size of 10~0mm through a two-stage closed-loop process, including a jaw crusher and vibrating screen.
    • The crushed ore is then ground in a closed circuit to -200mm 70% before entering the flotation process.
  2. Flotation:
    • The finely ground ore is mixed with flotation reagents in an agitation tank.
    • High-Grade Ore Process: Reverse flotation is used to yield concentrate slurry, which is then transported to a thickener to reduce moisture.
    • Low-Grade Ore Process: Combines reverse flotation (one roughing - one cleaning) and direct flotation (one roughing - one scavenging) to remove impurities and obtain concentrate.
  3. Filtration and Dewatering:
    • The concentrate slurry is filtered and dewatered to produce dry magnesite concentrate.
Flotation beneficiation is a sorting method based on different physical and chemical properties of the mineral particles. Flotation is widely used in fine-grained disseminated metallic minerals, nonmetallic minerals, chemicals and other mineral sorting.



Main process of flotation production line:
1. Ore crushing
2. The crushed material was sent to ball mill for grinding.
3. Classified . Granule with unsuitable size will be sent back to the ball mill , while suitable ones will be sent to the flotation system.
4. Some medicament agent will be added to separate target material from others.
5. After going through the flotation system with coarse separating, sweeping separating, fine separating, they will be concentrated and filter pressed, and then get the final products
6.The whole process is finished.
